Synopsis:

It is a gang of several boys who live in Chandan Nagar society in Mumbai. Apart from their mischievousness all the society members likes them. When a orphan boy Fatku (Irrfan Khan) enters the society with his dog Bhidu, the society secretary doesn''t like that a street wanderer dog is living with them in their society. So all the society members and the society secretary take a decision to make Bhidu out of the society. The "jewel thief" stands for the right of Fatku and Bhidu to live in the society.
