Synopsis:

Udta Punjaab movie is a stout-hearted thriller, based on the drug mafia and its deep-rooted nexus in Punjab. All the stars are playing pivotal roles in the movie. The title of the movie seems to be apt as per its subject. The movie solely highlights the problem of drug addiction through the lives of four different characters i.e., a rockstar Tommy Singh (Shahid Kapoor), a migrant labourer Pinky (Alia Bhatt), a doctor Preeti Sahani (Kareena Kapoor) and a cop Sartaj Singh (Diljit Dosanjh). It''s the story of four lives and one connect i.e., Punjab! It takes you on a trip like never before. Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh play characters from different walks of life, fighting the menace of drugs in their own way. The film journeys into the artificial highs and the real lows that they face while treading the paths fraught with mortal dangers.
