Synopsis:

Selfiee is the Hindi remake of the 2019 Malayalam-language comedy Driving License that follows famous actor Prithviraj Sukumaran (Hareendran) who needs to renew his driver's license, and runs across a fan in the motor vehicle agent. A series of misunderstandings cause many a problem.

A snippet from Selfiee shows Akshay Kumar dressed in a sharp charcoal coloured suit alongside fellow Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi in a red and white plaid shirt dancing and clicking a selfie to a song of the titular name.

Movie Review:

The film showcases an engaging blend of humor, drama, and celebrity culture, anchored by strong performances from its lead actors. Akshay Kumar delivers his usual charm while Emraan Hashmi brings depth to his role, creating a dynamic on-screen partnership that keeps the audience entertained. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, adding layers to the storyline.

The narrative explores themes of fame, obsession, and the impact of social media on personal relationships, making it relatable for many viewers. The cinematography captures vibrant settings that complement the film's lively tone. Music and dance sequences are well-integrated, enhancing the overall experience.

While the film's pacing occasionally falters, and certain plot points may feel predictable, it compensates with moments of genuine humor and emotional resonance. Supporting performances from Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty add to the film's appeal, rounding out a talented ensemble.

Overall, this cinematic offering is a light-hearted yet thought-provoking watch that resonates with audiences looking for both entertainment and insight into modern celebrity life. It's a fun ride that keeps you engaged until the end.
