Charle is literally slamming his hand against a locked apartment door while screaming his lungs out at nobody in particular because things have gotten completely out of hand.

Let us back up for a second because if you are sitting down to watch Lockdown, you aren’t fully prepared for the sheer level of panic that hits these characters right off the bat, especially since this particular entry in the grand tradition of thrilling bollywood movies throws you straight into a panic without giving you a chance to breathe.

So the premise is basically that a sudden strict lockdown is imposed and everyone's trapped, and Anupama Parameswaran is just trying to navigate this total mess alongside a bunch of other stressed-out folks in the building.

Honestly, the vibe of the whole building is chaotic, and Nirosha's character is pacing back and forth near the hallway window looking like she swallowed a lemon while muttering about how nobody is going to survive the week.

People are arguing over groceries, tensions are flaring up over silly things, and Livingston is standing in the corner looking intensely suspicious for absolutely no reason while wearing a faded brown shirt that honestly looks like it hasn't seen a washing machine since the nineties, and I swear I stared at the weird grease stain on his collar for a solid five minutes instead of paying attention to the dialogue.

Stuff happens, doors bang, people yell across balconies, and Priya Venkat pops up to add fuel to the fire with some dramatic declarations that nobody asked for.

And then boom, right when everyone is getting settled into their misery, we hit the interval block out of nowhere and the movie just pauses for a breather.

Speaking of breathing, there is this totally random song sequence right after the intermission that makes zero sense because people are literally starving and locked indoors, but suddenly everyone is dancing in a dream sequence like nothing is wrong at all which is a classic quirk of hindi movies that always makes me laugh out loud.

After that musical detour, the plot violently snaps back to reality and a terrifying secret about one of the residents gets exposed in a single rushed flashback that lasts about four seconds before we are back to people screaming in the stairwell.

Tempers boil over, accusations fly, doors get kicked in, and the true nature of everyone trapped in this claustrophobic nightmare comes spilling out in a wave of ugly tears and wild shouting matches.
